1/17/09 - The Rape
Declaration Forum
The Rape
Declaration Forum is a live, call-in radio show based in
New York City, in which rape and crime survivors who are
willing to share, help themselves and others heal by
telling their stories to a global audience on air. Each
caller has free space to explain, in depth, what
happened to them and the lessons they learned from their
trauma and abuse. The Forum recently aired an interview
with a woman who was raped in Iraq, while she was
working for a subsidiary of Halliburton Inc., and who is
seeking justice from that company and from the State
Department; and a woman who was sexually molested as a
child, talking about how she put what happened into
perspective and moved on. This week, Crime Prevention
Specialist Susan Bartelstone interviews Rebecca Myles
and Jay Grayce, the hosts of The Forum, and we’re taking
live calls from listeners who want to contribute! These
stories are guaranteed to be compelling and inspiring.
It’d be a crime not to listen.
