Today, Crime Prevention Specialist Susan Bartelstone interviews Dr. Arthur Lurigio, psychologist, criminologist, professor and author of the highly touted book, Victims of Crime. He's also the co-author or editor of more than twenty books and studies on various aspects of crime and the criminal justice system. Victims of Crime is a particularly interesting book. It studies the emotional impact of crime and the process of victimization experienced by crime victims; describes the dramatic changes in the U.S. criminal justice system over the past 20 years; examines current trends; and explores the needs and problems of special categories of victims.
